Mikumi / Nyerere National Park
Overview
You can have a day trip from Zanzibar to Mikumi or Nyerere National Park if you think you do
not like to spend nights outside Zanzibar. This trip is very ideal for those who did not make
arrangements to travel to the mainland and have already committed their accommodation in
Zanzibar. So you can break the monotony and add up the enjoyment of your holidays by having a
day trip to Mikumi or Nyerere National Park

Tour Plan
Arrival at the park air strip after 45 minutes of flight from Zanzibar. At the
airstrip and at the national park gate you will be met by our tour guide who
will assist you with payment of park entrance fee and procurement of a park
permit.
You will have a half-day game drive. Animals that can be seen in either of
the parks are Elephant, Buffalo, Antelope, Lion, Hippo, Giraffe, Zebra,
Leopard and Crocodile. The parks boast over 400 bird species and thus
are the birdwatcher's paradises. Birds which can be seen include Marvel at
the colorful common residents such as the lilac-breasted roller, yellow-
throated long claw and bateleur eagle At a convenient time around 13:00 hrs
you will have a break for a lunch.
Back to the airstrip then fly back to Zanzibar.
