3 Days Mikumi Udzungwa Mountains National Park
Overview
On this 3-day safari, you will visit the Mikumi and Udzungwa Mountains National Park. It’s a
combination of a game viewing in Mikumi National Park and a light exercise of hiking on
Udzungwa Mountains National Pak. You will enjoy the beautiful scenery as you immerse in
Tanzania’s breathtaking nature and wildlife.

Time / Distance: 5 – 6 hours (300 kms)
Depart early but not later than 12:00 noon, have a break for short calls or grabbing a snack, at
Msolwa or Ubena Zomozi, or near Morogoro town so that you can arrive in Mikumi not later
than 6:00 pm. If time allows you will be able to visit a Masai Boma and dance with Maasai.
Dinner and overnight in Mikumi Township.
After breakfast drives to the park gate, about 20 km from Mikumi Township. After registration
proceeds for the game drive until 01:00 pm when you will break for lunch, then continue for the game
drive until 05:00 pm. The park has much wildlife like buffalos, Lions, Zebra, Giraffes,
Elephants, and antelopes. Dinner and overnight in Mikumi Township.
After breakfast drive for one hour from Mikumi to Udzungwa National Park gate for
registration and then drive to a starting point at Sanje village. You will hike for about one hour
to Sanje waterfall where you will celebrate, do some swimming and have a picnic lunch. In the
afternoon you will descend down to Sanje Village and then drive back to Dar es Salaam
